The Boundary of a Fusion Plasma: Some Problems in Rarefied Gas/Plasma Dynamics
Many transport processes in the plasma boundary of a fusion device involve collisional or rarefied behaviour. Examples include a) heat transfer from a plasma to a Debye sheath, b) thermal/viscous boundary layers on the scale of a Coulomb mean free path, and c) momentum and energy transfer from a plasma to a gas. Other relevant processes and problems are introduced.
