Some Effects of ICRH Heating on the JET Boundary Plasma

Detailed boundary plasma measurments are reported for a special series of ICRH discharges in JET in which Zeff remained constant over a range of powers. This behaviour is examined using a relatively simple model of particle and energy balance using the measured parameters of the scrape-off layer. Carbon influx measurements from the limiter are compared with those calculated from the model.
