Questions on Collisionless Magnetic Reconnection

Recent theoretical progress on magnetic reconnection in collisionless regimes is critically reviewed. Relevant questions concern the mechanism of reconnection in the absence of dissipation, the applicability of a fluid model description, the nature and the relevance of the very small scale-lengths below the skin depth that are observed in 2-D fluid simulations.
