In this contribution, the role of neutrals on the confinement of JET hybrid scenarios is examined in the carbon wall and in the ITER-like wall. There have been evidence both in ASDEX Upgrade and JET that neutrals can impact directly the confinement suggesting that the density is not a relevant engineering parameter for confinement scaling laws.
